Does a Certificate of Good Standing expire?
A good-standing certificate reports an authority's conclusion at the time it is issued. The issuing authority does not create one universal acceptance window: the bank, regulator, marketplace, or counterparty decides how recent the certificate must be.
Issue date and acceptance period are different
The registry issues a certificate based on its records at a point in time. The document continues to show what the authority certified on that date, but it cannot prove that nothing changed afterward.
A recipient therefore applies its own recency policy. Some ask for a certificate issued within a stated number of days; others assess recency against the transaction and risk involved. Registly does not invent a validity period when the recipient has not supplied one.
Online validation is not the same as recipient acceptance
Some authorities offer certificate authentication. Delaware, for example, lets users validate eligible business-entity certificates online for one year from issue. That verification window does not mean every recipient must accept the certificate for a year.

Before paying, ask the recipient for the required jurisdiction, document name, maximum age, certification format, and whether apostille or legalization is needed. That avoids buying a valid authority product that still fails the recipient's checklist.
